Photographer’s Note
The local tennis court is right next to the skate park, so after years of playing tennis and watching the local kids in action, I finally decided to snap some photos.
In Clearlake, there are not many activities and there isn't much of a 'culture'. Perhaps that is why the local skate park draws so many kids. Some of them are regulars, always out there trying new tricks and improving their skills. Some, like this boy, are positively amazing!
You can't really tell, but this bike is about 15 feet off the ground. I also shot a photo of this same boy in mid-backflip, but the picture didn't capture the action like this one does. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello Rachel. A motion study. You selected a very dynamic motive here. For the photo is catching the movement at the ideal places crucially. That succeeded to you perfectly. Also the blue sky pleases me as ideal background for the sportsman. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hi Rachel,
Great action shot! You caught him at the right moment, under a superb blue sky.
I like the detail of the shadow of the other bike to the right.
Have a nice evening,
Marianne
