Photographer’s Note

Břevnovský klášter je nejstarším mužským klášterem na území České republiky a celkově druhým nejstarším na našem území. Byl založen v roce 993 českým knížetem Boleslavem II. a svatým Vojtěchem, druhým pražským biskupem. Svatý Vojtěch měl na založení kláštera hlavní zásluhu, protože přivedl z Itálie benediktýnské mnichy. Kostel svaté Markéty v areálu kláštera je barokní a pochází z 18. století. Břevnov Monastery. Břevnov Abbey is a Benedictine monastery in Prague. It was founded by Prince Boleslav II and Saint Adalbert, bishop of Prague in 993 AD. Hallo Petr!
An outstanding architecture photo - taken in a wonderful light! I think the angle here couldn't be better in order to show this venerable place. In technical respects I think sharpening here was a bit too much - see right edge of the middle gable and the tiles. Nevertheless a worth-seeing photo!
