Photographer’s Note
On my trip down south during September last year my train crossed the important railway station of Vijaywada. Soon after the train was crossing over the river Godavari, one of the most important and revered rivers of south India. The river was almost dry and in large parts sandy ridges have arisen. Nevertheless it presented a pretty picture.
The taking of this picture was a bit tough as my train was moving at a fair pace and I had to time the click perfectly to avoid the steel beams of the rail bridge.
