Photographer’s Note

Back to my photos of Iceland in 2005.

In the region there is a strong Skagafjordur museum named Glaumbaer. This farm is reconstituted into peat and wood, has 16 rooms distributed along a corridor of 22 m.
This is a reconstruction of a typical habitat Icelandic 18th. You can admire utensils, and wood furniture at the time.

A small restaurant was housed in a wooden house, next door. It is a charming place with small tables available throughout the house. You can eat Icelandic cuisine at reasonable prices.

Tolkien is my favorite author, I could not help but see in this an illustration of the farm village of Hobbits. I tried, but I did not see Frodo Saquet. Dommage!
