One day, I'll drive a scooter
One day, I'll be a rocker
Everyday, I'll make my prayer
But I will never go to the barber

This little boy on his dad scooter was one of the few photos I was able to do around Amritsar, as thick fog was prevailing for almost a month in the north of India, from Delhi to Varanasi.

This is not a staged shot; the little Sikh was right there, waiting for me to arrive... :-P) When I saw him, I just asked his father, who was standing next to him, if it was okay to shoot him. The little boy smiled on the first shot, but remained serious for the next 3 or 4 frames, looking straight through the lens.

Hi my friend,

Just send you an email...
Look at this new layout, that coffee background really sucks, no good at all for presenting pictures...that white border of yours is cursing withe coffee background....terrible. Means i can reframe all my pictures that are in the waiting list. Or.......leave this crap as it is and open my Flickr account again and start posting there....this new layout is not made for serious photography.

Any good here...yes of course, that boy, not afraid of you, that's for sure. Stubbornness in his eyes and most of all proud.
Light on his face is out of this world, very good, just as his colourful jackcket. The rest of the surrounding is not my favorite, but i'm glad it's pretty dark around him so it doesn't disturb that much...

I'm taking a break from what i have seen so far and will see when i start posting again. As it is now it's no good at all. No title on the thumbs, no camera details, no lens, shutter, aperture. Not much to learn for people who are curious about that.

Ton sens de l'approche des gens t'a permis encore une fois de réaliser un superbe portrait, d'une grande intensité.
Le regard de ce garçon est profond, et d'une fierté palpable.
La réalisation est évidemment impeccable, c'est presque un pléonasme que de l'écrire !

a nice portrait of this little boy, future rider. It's good foor him to get used to drive a motorcycle, he'll need it in the indian streets.
Good focus on him (with the blurred background), good clours and light. I like the expression of his look.

Le regard déterminé de ce petit me fait penser à Mikel que j'ai eu l'occasion de croiser samedi dernier. ;o)
Il s'y croit vraiment dans sa façon de tenir le guidon et de te regarder, mais le plus marrant c'est qu'avec ton cadrage sa tête à la même taille que le phare du scooter.

T'as utilisé un grand angle? Avec le nouveau site on ne voit les données EXIF si celles-ci ne sont plus dans la photo ou bien si tu ne les mets pas toi-même dans le texte de la note.

nice portrait. I like the look of this boy. Quite in tune with the note I gotta say. The BG doesn't not sdisturb me. It remains very neutral which is good. Exposure is really fine. I wish I could have access to the EXIFs again...'hope they'll fix that soon.

Ce garçon, il a toute une personnalité!! Tu as le don de trouver les "modèles" qui ont du caractère! Il est vraiment à l'aise. Moi j'aime le background. La vie semble relax dans cette ruelle. En voyant la lumière tellement uniforme et forte sur son visage, je me demande si tu utilise un flash externe maintenant pour tes portraits...L'orange de son "casque" pop out!

Bonjour, André. Excellente photo de ce petit caïd. J'aime beaucoup son regard franc, sa veste de rocker et sa coiffe qui, à mes yeux en tout cas, est bien originale. La mise au point est excellente et la perspective à l'arrière de la rue me plaît. Très bonne mise au point - dommage qu'on ne dispose plus des EXIF.

Ce regard d'enfant surpris dans son jeu sur cet engin est d'une grande profondeur. Il y a un monde entre la tenue de l'enfant et le scooter qui lui sert de monture.

une que j'ai raté pendant ce long WE d'Ascension
J'aime bcp le cadrage légèrement excentré laissant le regard s'échapper un moment vers le fond de la rue pour mieux revenir au sujet principal. On voit assez rarement des images d'enfants Sikkhs et celui-ci donne vraiment l'impression, comme le dit très bien ta note, qu'il s'y voit déjà quand il sera grand

Il est trop mignon avec son expression d'ange. Ce qu'est drôle, à part le fait qui'il est vétu ainsi sur un skooter sont ses "3 antennes" car ses oreilles semblent trop grandes pour son visage et il a la partie du turban pile entre deux.
La nettété et bokeh sont superbes.

A Sikh warrior in the making - much of my adult life has been spent around a very important relationship with Sikh pride and prowess - extraordinary people for whom i have an undying love and respect - your image is very original tyo my mind and a truly great situational portrait of this child.
