Nowadays people around the world are talking about asset devaluation. But if we try to look deeply into the life of the people who make up most of the human population our woes would seem insignificant. Talking about the Fishermen of the vast coastal areas of India all they can call as assets are their old wooden boats, with which they brave the wild seas everyday to make a living, some traditional fishing equipments and a fragile shanty often washed away by the sea. Looking at this fisherman's hut and his boat on the sea shore of Digha one can feel how insignificant our sorrows are.
