Photographer’s Note
Two miles up the road from McClintock Park is Goodman Park, which according to the Marinette County public works department is "one of the most beautiful spots on the Peshtigo River at Strong Falls."
That, friends, is no exaggeration. In a half hour's time, I had so many beautiful shots that I'm hard-pressed to pick one. (So I didn't -- take a look at Trek Lens and Trek Nature for a couple of other distinct views, if you wish.)
The park site was developed by the local Civilian Conservation Corps over three years, at the height of the Great Depression, as a showcase of the recreational use of county forest. There are lodges, bridges, fireplaces, and many unique and beautiful vantage points from which to see the falls. Quite a legacy!

The waters looked good with its amount of earth being carried. Good shot.

Hi Jim,
Splendid shot of this ragging river.
Love the frothy foam to the crashing waters that is seen in a lovely frame of giant boulders.
There are many such sights all across America that came from the CCC..
Regards, Tom
