Photographer’s Note
"Tu Le - Mu Cang Chai - Khau Pha Pass", are very well-known places for Vietnamese travelers, especially for shooters who wish to hunt a breathtaking scene of rice terraces, of the local people and daily life. This attractive place belongs to Yen Bai province in the North-east region of Vietnam (more than 270km from Hanoi). We came here when the local minorities were preparing for a new rice crop. They are working on the fields, ploughing, taking the seeding rice out and planting them to the ready-made paddies. The best time to travel here is May/June and September/October when they start and finish a crop.

Hello Tan Tran,
Photos of rice terraces are everywhere, this is a beautiful one. Clear and sharp and so graphical with the undulating lines and the patches of green. The few workers you can see provide depthv and scale.
Well done.

Hello Mr Nhat,
These rice fields create some spectacular curves and an interesting variety of coloured patches. The few people visible give us an idea of the vastness of the area.
Thanks for sharing,
