A boy poses with with donkey in Egypt. Donkies are very commonly used in Egypt for carrying people, pulling carts, and carrying heavy loads. This photo was early morning after watching a sunrise.

A compelling capture, the look on the boys face is wonderful. How about those brown eyes and the lips, many a Hollywood starlet would love lips like that.

Very good portrait! The sharpness and details in the faces of principals makes it easy to focus on them and give attention to them.
The atmosphere breathes cloudless happiness!
They both looked at your lens without demur!

Hi Dave,

These kids are all over the Mideast, aren't they? Do they grow up to be the grizzled old men in the desert who sell camel rides? The one that sold me a pony ride into Petra got a laugh when his horse bucked my fat rear end off onto a rock (I think I still have the bruise and that happened in 1994!).

All joshing and sea stories aside, this is a great shot. The expression on the boy's face is great - somewhat proud, isn't it?

Your trip through Egypt has given you some amazing photo's. This is no exception. A tender moment of boy and beast, the neutral colours soft and warm. The lighting on the boys face perfect, the skin tone superb and there you go again capturing those mesmerising brown eyes. Great shot!
