Photographer’s Note
Located near the Alberta border and just outside Field, British Columbia lies 'Takakkaw Falls'- a Cree word meaning 'it is wonderful'.
These glacier fed falls are the second highest in Western Canada (after Della Falls on BC's Vancouver Island).
I hope you like the shot,
- Dan

Beautiful photo, Dan! Very nice framing, including nice foreground proportions to show the great waterfall. Colours are very good, and depth. Well taken!

Dan,
I stood more or less at the very same spot as you did last August. The only difference is that you got a much better weather then I. I had to use my tripod and umbrella to overcome the rain and poor luminosity. Obviously the light conditions turned out miserable and the shot too. Not in your case. It gives me the urge to return and redo the job.

I love water falls and I would love to visit this one. Being a glacier fed it may be very different from one season to the other. It looks like the river was running quite high in water volume what made the fall to be that spectacular. The vertical frame is superb and the water running in the foreground adds to the depth. Well done.

Hi Dan,
This is one of the best shots I`ve ever seen from this place, which is very nice to see but hard to take a good shot of.
The clouds above the falls are blown-out but I guess it was around noon and the contrast was too big to handle with one shot, without a ND grad filter on the lens.
I like it; it`s clean, sharp and clear, with "honest",believable colors.
Thanks and have a happy "Victoria Day":)

Hi Daniel,
I like it. The vertical perspective works very well here and the intentional depth of field is impressive. Excellent work and TFS. Gerald

Hello Dan!
That waterfall looks really wonderful in your picture! The vertical format was an excellent choice, where besides the falls themselves, you included a nice sky - in spite of being just a tiny bit of it - and specially the bottom part of this picture with the flow of the creek after the abyss!
Many excellent technical features completes the image that truly pleases me!
TFS - congratulations!
My warmest regards and greetings from Brazil,

A truly gorgeous shot in a fine gallery, Dan. I love the way you've captured the spectacle of this cascade, the big-picture beauty, and the crisp detail throughout -- good depth of field control. Thanks for showing us the whole path and place of the river. What grandeur!
Regards,
Jim
