This building is the sole building left standing after the atomic bomb blast in Hiroshima. The city has been rebuilt and is beautiful but this was left as a reminder of the tragic event on August 6, 1945. I thought the use of black and white seemed appropriate given the somber mood I felt in shooting it; I was practically in tears...

Very symbolic!
The composition is interesting and fits perfectly with the subject.
The treatment in turn is not very aesthetic.
The grain is too present and the contrasts are not well managed, be the fake vignetting is too many.

Very impressive place. It is a very esthetic ruin, which is a pure irony regarding the context.
I like the angle of view, the B&W. The grain too, but I agree with MrSoul, it is a bit strong, and the picture doesn't need vignetting. I would be very curious to see another version of this picture !
