Annapurna 1(8091m) is standing like a wall in Annapurna Base Camp. This is so close that I used 18mm lens to keep it in a single frame.

Not being detached from the peaks around it does not look soooo impressive, but your photo is nice, very well exposed with shining whites and the intensity of the blue sky tells how high this is.

Interesting. When I was there, it was october, there was no snow at all at the base camp-

Yes the mighty Annapurna..tell me somehting Manas..these mountians are not allowed to be trekked or climbed right ?
As for this shot..these snowscapes with mountains need only wide angle lenses..ideal would be a 10-20 for this place..
youve managed the light well..the highlights are pefect..but the peak is a bit centered..seem you didnt experiment with povs and perspectives ?
