The Blake Family Castle Photo

Photographer’s Note

The Blake family were of British extraction, said to be descended from one of the Knights of the round table. They arrived in Ireland with Strongbow, and became a powerful family in the area, with several important seats. These included Menlo, Ardfry, Ballyglunin, Castlegrove and several others. The family became another of the Tribes of Galway, and are still well represented in the area.

Photo is showing other side view of Menlo Castle, which was built in 1569, and was the main home of the Blake family, until it tragically burned down in 1910.

Good image on what looks like great summer rather than May weather, the only detraction for me is the aircraft trail. Personally I'd clone it out of the image but each to their own

Czesc Pawel,
zeby sfotografowac irlandzkie ruiny potrzeba naprawde duzo kreatywnosci.
Widze ze zaplanowales ciekawy framing, troce galezi troche cienia...
Bardzo przyjemnie sie oglada.
Kolory bardzo naturalne.
Ja osobiscie jestem zwolennikiem pocztowek i wolalbym bardziej klasyczne ujecie, ale to kwestia gustu.
