Photographer’s Note
Good Morning Everyone,
Only a few weeks ago, I walked these hills, near my home, and they were covered in snow, were bleak and cold. But, what a tranformation with a little sunshine and warmth! The grass has grown and looks not just long but shiny, too! The trees are pushing through their leaf buds and the birds are chirruping with spring frenzy.
A couple of days after I took this shot, the cows were released from their winter barns. They galloped and bucked around the field expressing their joy of freedom and outdoor life!
Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
A fine springtime composition making good use of the winding road to draw us into the scene. Lovely green tones very redolent of spring captured under a nice light.

Everything about spring makes me feel good and you have captured that feeling in this photo.
I can imagine it to feel a bit chilly in this field but also very pleasant too :-)

Nice one Bev, you didn't start off with a D200 did you? Anyway the colors are beautiful and the road bordered with teh stone wall is great. You certainly have beautiful country side to shoot and I have had enough winter for a while and am glad the snow is gone so you can capture these beautiful green hills.

Hi Bev,
A good POV, looking upwards and seeing the narrow road disappearing behind the trees. I like this predominant diagonal here and the colours are also very attractive. A little more saturation could maybe be a slight improvement, but this is just a minor niggle.
Kind regards

Hi Beverley,
great atmosphere of the countryside in spring, one can even smell the grass. Excellent management of the light and very gentle colors. A wonderful perspective. I would like to walk this road and enjoy the view over the landscape. A beautiful capture! TFS!

Hi Bev,
Looks like spring is busting out all over the place in your neck of the woods.
It is amazing how much a landscape will change with the seasons.
Love how this narrow lane framed by the lush green windes up the hill all the way to the pastel sky.
Regards, Tom

hello Bev,
a good title for this fresh green. You have captured that new green very well and I can imagine its shinyness. It's luxuriant, luscious and I wish I was my dog who likes to roll on her back on grass like this in an ecstasy of pleasure.

Hello Beverley
A superb Spring shot of the verdant new greenery. I would rope off the bg, use a high feather margin, & darken / add contrast. I could try a workshop, if you like. Tfs!

Hi Beverley,
IMHO, the seemingly static shot looks dynamic because of the diagonal slope and the curvy road part of which is visible to us :) It is curious how this curvy road is repeated by the curved shadow on the grass in the FG! Very smartly composed image! great work which brings good mood :) Good light colours. I like it that the photo is not oversharpened ;)
Very best wishes!

Hello Berveley
Very nice country view, interesting composition.
However the shades in foreground gave more lights to the background; in this case I reduce the esposure setting.
I have done a simple WS.

Hi Bev
Great shade of greens in this capture, I think the colours are very well presented here and I like the stone wall and road in the distance.
Excellent shot
