A room with a view Photo

Photographer’s Note

This was what I saw at 2 AM when I looked out of the window from where we stayed in Ringstad (Ringstad Sjøhus, Vesterålen).
This is a little village with a small harbour, from where you can hire a boat and go on a fishingtrip. We went for a boattrip with the owner of the guesthouse on the Atlantic Ocean to an island full of Northern Gannets. That was a pretty amazing trip.

Also this night I didn`t get much sleep;-)

Hallo Klara,

Wow, wat een prachtige foto. Het straalt pure kalmte en rust uit. De weerspiegelingen op het water zijn prachtig alsook de kleuren. En niet te vergeten dat prachtige zicht...zo'n zicht zou ik ook wel willen vanuit mijn raam! ;-) Schitterend werk!

very quiet shot due to the landscape format, no wind on the sea and the unusual velvet colors. I would have remove the back of the picture in order to have the skyline at the middle of the shot.

Hoi Klara,

Magisch licht, zeeeeeeeeer fraai, vooral in de kleursetting. rustgevend, vredig, wie zou hier niet willens taan om te fotograferen.......misschien dat ik toch maar eens naar Noorwegen moet ;-)
Beetje ruis in de paarse tinten, is eenvoudig te verwijderen, maar de foto opzich is heel fraai afgewerkt met een hele mooie kadering.

Dag Clara,

A very astonishing color but very nice color in the sky and in the sea. The POV well selected give a very pleasant symetric effect with the reflections in the sea. An image with a great depht too.

Hi Klara
Well Norway in summer to get long sleeps is probably not what anybody would recomment, especially on week end ;-) The image looks very quiet though, wonderful dominant and mirror water, I like the detail of the fishing boat anchored next to the house.

Hello Klara,
Nice colours and compo - but a bit too noisy in the darker purple parts near the bottom of the frame. The water is amazingly calm. THere must hav ebeen no wind or tide at all.
Its a great scenery and woth the unusual time to take a 'nightlight' photograph anyway. TFS Thomas

Hello Klara,

I don't know if you had midnight sun at this time and location, but for sure awesome light conditions this time of day!
The pastel colours add beauty, the calm weather allows for a great mirror effect...
A fine composition with good details!

Hi, Klara.
Wonderschone landschap, in prachtige kleuren gehuld. Er straalt zoveel rust vanuit... Je hebt misschien niet zoveel geslapen maar als ik dit zie denk ik dat het wel de moeite waard was. Schitterend fotowerk, TFS! Ik wens je nog een fijne avond, tot gauw.
