Rough background conveys the condition the woman might be going through. The texture of hairs and wrinkles on the face tells the same story. Great composition and well thought and well executed shot.

a timely capture. it shows the true facial expression (and emotion) of hardships that she endures. the compo is perfect as you have placed her to the far right of the frame.

Hello Arvin,
To me, this is by far the best photo in your posts. The character and strength of this woman is shown through the angle and lighting you have selected for this image. Your fishermen photos are excellent also, but I believe this "macro" of this old woman's life standing before us tells of her trials in life.
An exceptional image...

A beautiful portrait! This old woman has a very 'speaking' face and you captured her in a very good way, semi-profile.
I wonder wether the focus is on her or on the wall, she is not perfectly sharp. Or perhaps it is due to the reduction of your photo?
Anyway, I like it a lot.
