A view worth a million dollars, A view which just chills everybody, A view woth dying for..!!

thats what we see when the first light falls on the third highest peak of the world from darjeeling. This was taken from the window of my hotel.Whole of the town was still in dark but the rays showed up on the summit indicating the start of another beautiful day on the "Queen of the Hills"

That chill in the morning breeze, the hot cup of darjeeling tea, hot chocolate at Keventers and cocktail sausages in Glenary's.....Those cute kids in red uniform walking with hands interlocked..the walk around the observatory hills..the mall and the dong of the clock tower and the towering view of the massif of kanchendzonga.........it all makes Darjeeling the best hill station in India.....

A fantastic background for the still sleeping village.
Very good quality of the picture too, with great sharpness and perfect control of the exposure, which was essential in this case

This is simply amazing.Wonderful view of Kanchan and the PS treatement is smart.
A underrated shot, should gather more points.

Hi Indroda,
A different POV this time!! K looks fabulous, I should say, those golden lights are really to die for. I would, however, prefer a little crop at the bottom..the houses seem to steal a bit too much of the limelight.
A great view, nonetheless.
