White desert - Farafra - Egypt
The Farafra Oasis is the smallest oasis located in Western Egypt, near latitude 27.06° North and longitude 27.97° East. It is located in the Libyan Desert, approximately mid-way between Dakhla and Bahariya.
A main geographic attraction of Farafra is its White Desert (known as Sahara el Beyda, with the word sahara meaning a desert). The White Desert of Egypt is located 45 km (30 miles) north of Farafra. The desert has a white, cream color and has massive chalk rock formations that have been created as a result of occasional sandstorms in the area.

Impressive rock formations. The light is balanced and warm on white rocks, contrasting the blue sky. The compositions is pleasing.

Bonjour Michel,
Yves.

Hi Michel,
beautiful shot.
I love the light and how it wraps the rock shapes. The texture is very well visible. You were very lucky to be there at this time of the day.
Perfect shot,

Hello Michel,
A fine photo of these erosion kobolds, taken from a good low point of view to profile them against the sky in soft light. Interesting too.

hi michel
I really dont know about this one and have never seen it before, so your post on TE is most interesting for me because this is very special kind of landscape I would like to see.
Very good presentation because of the blue gradient in the sky and warm light on the rocks.
I find it fascinating about the strong color contrast provided by the warm light on the rocks to the blue sky, with a think layer of transition color tone in between them.
Superb work! I like it.

Salut Michel,
Ces roches sous cette chaude lumière sont magnifiques, paysage assez irréel et si fascinant !
Bonne soirée,

The chicken and the mushroom? I love surreal landscapes and you masterfully captured the essence of this one.
