Photographer’s Note
Hello Everyone,
Last weekend, we visited Morecambe, again.
It was a fine blustery day, the sort of weather that one associates with walks along the promenade.
As we were approaching the area where the Eric Morecambe statue oozes merriment, I saw these two bicycles leaning together with an inanimate charm.
There is a sign next to them which shows a parent with a child and bikes, almost suggesting that these specified things may be left there!
Besides the cosy cycles, I loved the duck-egg blue railings and the shadows, which appeared like cycle tracks, as opposed to railway tracks, on the ground!
Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hallo Beverley!
Great, simply great! What a sensitive and beautiful photo! One must look twice here - but it is worth it!
Congratulations to this "shot"! A somehow encouraging photo ...

Hi Beverley,
this is funny indeed! You captured the bicycles excellently using all lines available to create a nice structure. Great light and very pleasant colors. Your note is also great! TFS!

Hi Bev,
There is no better way to see the seights and sounds of the beach then on a blue bicycle.
Love the rich texture to the low tide beach and the lovely little pools catching the colors from the clear blue sky.
Regards, Tom

Hello Bev,
An appealing and out of the ordinary composition. I like the graphical lines of the curving railings and the cycles, also the shadow play. A very nice light with good colours and sharpness. I have to confess I have never been able to ride a bike:-)

Hello Beverley,
:-) funny shot! looks like these bikes have a life of their own! I really like the colours: the domineering blue does not make the picture look "blue" - vice versa: it creates a sweet feeling, a little nostalgic, though.
It's also nice to see a tiny red (?) boat far in the distance and a couple of people on the left :)
Have a nice weekend!
best wishes,
Elena

Hi Beverley,
The photo demonstrates the mood of the place wonderfully. The diagonal composition spectacular and balanced. The bicycles leant against each other breathe cosy and peaceful atmosphere. Excellent lights and clarity. Splendid shot. Have a nice weekend!

Fabulous capture, I loved the details you have captured, and the timing and symbolic nature of the capture, the 2 bicycles, and the 2 people on the (what appears to be) beach. Furthermore, I liked the overall bluish tint on the photo, keeps everything sort of calm. Thanks for sharing.

très belle harmonie en bleu; ils sont au couple que l'on voit en bas? juste dommage que le poteau les cache partiellement. car sino la compo de l'image est plus que plaisante!

Hello Beverley,
An interesting composition, with a subject off your normal trail!
This frame has an appealing simplicity, where the strong diagonal adds impact...
I also notice the shallow water and I assume this is captured at ebb tide..!

Hi Bev,
I like this composition in blue.
Tints are beautiful but it is very graphic at the same time. Your POV is excellent with the barrier placed in the diagonal and the small blue reminder of the sea witch you placed at the top.
Bravo!
Have a nice sunday
Diane
