In Indo marriages colors and rituals are very much in-sync.Vivid colors and different rituals can be seen throughout the ocassion.
After worship of GOD is done, elderly ones of the family put a red mark (using kind of red colored powder) on the groom's forehead, after which he puts the garland and leave for tying the knot.
