Photographer’s Note
I took this from just off the road which goes to the top of Pikes Peak. It is about 1000 feet above the timberline. I have also done a black and white conversion of this. I have posted it as a workshop. I personally prefer it, but the strength of the color original will probably preferred by more. Let me know what you think and which you prefer.

Hi Hubert,
What an impressive view - and very well captured. The panoramic format conveys that sense of vastness and gives a great DOF.
Personally I prefer the colour version - in my opinion the b&w one lacks a bit of contrast. And with all those beautiful hues you have in this shot, I think it simply needs to be in colour.
Best wishes

je préfère cette version couleur. Je ne vois pas ce qu'apporte le noir et blanc...
Magnifique paysage bien capté!
good work!

Hello Hubert,
The brown-red colours render justice to the landscape of colorado...
A fien view with a good play of shadows.
