Photographer’s Note

During the last decades, new mosques have been sporting yet taller minarets with sometimes two or even three balconies. A privilege that was reserved to great mosques of the empire. This is very small mosque in Beypazari ( A town famous for its old houses west of Ankara ) but its minaret is quite high. Perhaps the effect is emphasized because of the dark background caused by a lateral sunlight early in the morning: When I came again two hours later the dramatic effect was lost.

son derece güzel bir açıdan nefis yansıtmışsınız cami minaresini kadraja.özellikle beyaz renkli minareye yansıyan ışık arka planın koyu tonları içinde harika görünüyor elinize sağlık.

Why has this gotten so little attention? This is an excellent capture, with great light management (in difficult conditions) and of cultural interest to boot.
