A lovely shot at a lovely setting. It serves as a great reminder that I need to get out more and see a bit more of the world... by canoe if possible! :)

Love this simple shot. The clean white boat in contrast with the grey of the lake and sky. Intentional or not(?) the lines of the backgound hills and the boat lead the eye to the same point.

Hello Peter,
A traditional theme but brought so well in fine tones of grey and blue. Beautiful to look at.

Bonjour Peter

Hello Peter,
An amazing composition with fabulous lighting!
Rain can be seen clearly approaching!
The position of the canoe is wisely placed to depict depth in your capture.
Neat presentation!
Well done. Regards.

A very simple, as in uncluttered, image. The contrast between the sun on the foreshore and canoe and the incoming rain in the background works very well.
It's also one for the rule of thirds purists with the 3 distinct zones.
One of my own tests when viewing an image is the question "Would I hang this on my wall?". The answer here is a resounding YES.

Hi Peter
I was going to say welcome to TE but I see you have been a member for a while although not active until recentle. I like the clean simple lines in this image. Also there is some muted sunlight on the FG which helps to highlight the canoe.
Well done.
Phil
