Photographer’s Note

Hi dear TE friends

This is the last picture about the typical Houses of 'Costa Nova' in Aveiro

In the WS you can see the Beach of Costa Nova and the Map of place. The main picture is from opposite side in front of the main canal. The typical houses were building by the fishermen.

The beach of Costa Nova do Prado, also known only by Costa Nova, is located on the west coast of Portugal, at the coast of the ‘Ria de Aveiro’. Administratively is of the Ílhavo city as the beach of Barra. It is in the tourist route of the light / Central Region.

This place had its origin in the opening bar of the estuary in the year 1808. The name is due to two facts. The first one, "Costa Nova", as opposed to the "Old Coast" (San Jacinto). Secondly is because in this place, have existed and a huge green pasture.

It is one of the excellent Portuguese beaches for water sports, with a sailing club. We often see a lot of people practicing windsurf, kite and other similar sports.

The ex-libris of this beach is the "barns" - houses painted with vertical stripes interspersed with vivid colors and cheerful.
