The Eilan Donan Castle (XIIIe century) along the west coast of Highlands, in the entry of Loch Alsh.

Lumière et château très certainement hanté ( sinon pas Ecossais ) , pas d'avarice sur la couleur .... Je vais chanter "Flowers of Scotland " !

Bonsoir Roger,
La lumière est superbe, aussi bien sur le château (qui me fait penser à celui de l'Ile Noire dans Tintin) que sur la montagne de l'arrière plan, avec en prime l'ombre des nuages épais! Mais c'est aussi le cadrage et le format correspondant qui attisent le regard: c'est très, très beau. Félicitations pour ta 200ème! Un bien belle bougie sur le gâteau ;o)

questo è il mio castello preferito - ci sono stato tanto tempo fa - e l'hai ripreso in modo stupendo! La luce è bellissima e la composizione perfetta, molto ben proporzionata. Complimenti per il 200th post (ci sto per arrivare anch'io...) e per questo bellissimo regalo che ci hai fatto.

je n'y suis jamais allé, mais les photos que j'ai vu me l'ont montré sous tous les angles,
si je décide un jour d'y aller, ça sera comme un endroit familier

Bonjour Roger,
et bien mes félicitations pour cette étape 'chiffrée', c'est toujours une petite fierté de passer un cap.
Une source inépuisable, les Highlands, autant pour les films historiques que pour les photographes.
Souvent des nuages bas, de la brume, des atmosphères glauques, que quand on sait bien faire ressortir, on obtient toujours des photos un peu féériques aux ambiances irréelles.
Excellent 1er mai.

Bonjour Roger,

La ligne diagonale du pont est un atout à la composition. Les arbres et la verdure cadrent bien le château. La prise de vue permet de voir le s détails et les couleurs de l'architecture du château Eilan Donan. Elle envoie ausssi notre regard vers la montagne en arrière-plan ce qui donne de la profonderu à l'image. L'intensité de la lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Trés joli chateau écossais pour cette 200ème. J'aime bien l'éclairage sur le chateau en dépit du ciel assez gris ainsi que les ombres trés marquées sur la montagne derrière.

A splenderous sight. The only thing only slightly unbalanced is the sharpness, or lack of the textures on the castle, otherwise a monumental and serene sight, unmistakably Scotland.

Re Roger,

Je ne peux pas regarder cette photo sans penser au film Highlander... Voilà un belle 200ième qui me rappelle mon court séjour en Ecosse suite à un accident de voiture, c'était en 1996 !!! La lumière est parfait pour donner toute l'atmosphère aux lieux, j'aime beaucoup et j'espère y retourner un jour, mais sans ma voiture... Merci Roger.

Le chateau, correctement décéntré est très biene encadré dans l'ambiance autour. Le pont équilibre l'image sur le coté opposé au chateau.
