First jogging:-) Photo

Photographer’s Note

It was her first try with jogging along the beach. She was shy and more hopping than running, but having fun with it :-). That's all folks, I liked her charming smile and her seventies look, that is why I went for subdued tones and some overexposure, reminding me of those pale Polaroid snapshots, I actually enjoyed them a lot.

The coast of Belgium is about 65 km long and forms
part of the sandy and rectilinear Southern North Sea coastline that stretches from Cap Blanc Nez (north of France) in the west to the Schelde estuary (the Netherlands) in the east.
It is a macro-tidal coast with sandy beaches. Coastal zone of this type comprise three main units: a very gently sloping and fine sandy beach, dune ridge and a coastal plain. In Belgium, from west to east the beach slope tends to increase, the grain size distinctly increases and the width of the beach distinctly decreases.

hi Michèle,
absolutely love this, especially the colorus. at first I thought this is a photo of a poster or something like that, the 70s feeling is unmistakeable :) but above all, kudos to you for getting close and making her forget that you're pointing a camera towards her, that takes skill. just look at her - her expression says she's looking to YOU, not your camera. you're bigger that your camera, and not only literally :)

This could also be an advertisement shot for Craft or for Apple iPod. Or wait, also Prodent could use it for that great smile the woman is producing ;-)
Lovely picture, seems she was happy and a little bit shy when you took this close-up. No background, perfect, brings only that woman in front and is work that i like to see....thanks.

A nice smile indeed. It could be a timeless shot except for the earplugs that look quite 21st century. Nicely composed.

Dear Michele
The effect is of an old poster I like the close approach & her rather shy looking smile at you...but were you also in the beach with the intention of jogging? Just curious :-). And you've given some unknown (to me) details in the note about Belgian beaches! A fine portrait & fine overall presentation!

Exellent portrait saisi en pleine action.
Un visage d'une beauté à l'ancienne, très "noble". Un magnifique sourire. Et tout cela, cette ambiance "ancienne" de son visage, est décoré des écouteurs modernes !!!
