The Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes (Zamek Książąt Pomorskich) in the city of Szczecin. Viev from Kuśnierska street. In 1346 Prince Barnim III began to construct a castle which in the XVI-XVII centuries was converted to its present Renaissance form. During the World War II it suffered extensive damage. Rebuilt after war destruction it become the seat of administrative and cultural institutions. The Pomerianian Dukes Castle is one of the main centres of cultural life in Western Pomerania.
