Photographer’s Note

Great Falls on the Maryland side. Formed by the Potomac River, very popular for kayakers. This particular part of the river is not the main waterway, but a small branch that runs parallel to the river. Note the leaves on the tree's had not come out yet, you can imagine the cold temperature of the water. And even at that temp, there were a few kayaking fanatics out on the water.

Hi, Thomas,
I have visited that are along the Potomac and it is just an awesome place. You have a really good POV on it here and I like the way the waterway leads into the shot and comes in kind of off centered. Really nice light and color, too. It just seemed a bit soft so I did a workshop to sharpen it up a tad. I hope you find it helpful. Many thanks and kind regards,
