Photographer’s Note

Another shot from my trip to Japan in January. This scene from world famous Tsukiji fish market. There is no doubt about Japan's love of seafood, and no where else quite has the selection they do in their fish markets.

Walking up and down the aisles upon aisles of stalls in Tsukiji, photographic opportunities are limitless and everywhere. The one thing that has to be kept in mind as a visitor to the market is that there is serious business going on here. With all the hustle and bustle going on all around, I was constantly looking over my shoulder to ensure I wasn't blocking traffic in the narrow walkways.

From all the shots taken, I struggled to decide on one- but finally decided on the rich reds of the severed eels to post on TrekEarth.

I hope you like the shot,
- Dan
