Colors are the essence of life, imagine living a life without colors what if the whole world was seen in mono chrome and its shades wouldn't that make life dull and without pleasure?
Colors both tempt and frighten you they bring about a chemical reaction in your head which tell you how to react when seeing different colors. think of it this way "take your favorite mouthwatering desert and imagine it being with out colors" i am sure you wouldn't want to eat it if u dint like its color.
In India we celebrate and enjoy colors in a festival called Holi.

Similar to the "Songkran Festival" here in Thailand, where we douse passersby with water, you folks go for the colored powder.
I like the expression you caught.
This guy seems to be saying, somewhat resigned, "I actually was on my way to work, but, oh well, it's all in the spirit of fun!"
