Photographer’s Note
Yesterday I showed you the entrance of an old quarry in Siebengebirge, a low mountain range on the right bank of Rhine river - south of Bonn. Please read more about it in my note to the linked photo.
This is one of the wonderful and very comfy roadhouses there which only are accessible afoot - the "Löwenburger Hof", built in 1910. As you can see it is situated under the impressive ruin of Löwenburg (~ Lion's Castle) which is situated about 400 metres above Rhine river - 110 metres above the restaurant. The view from up there really is breathtaking. This castle was built in 12th century.
In the map view left hand I put the marker on this roadhouse. You can see the castle's ruin a bit south-west of it .
More about this really worth-visiting place you can read and see here (in German - with a lot of interersting links). In German we call a restaurant like this - situated in the forest, only accessible afoot, often with a beer garden ... - "Ausflugslokal". It's interesting that I couldn't find an English word for this kind of restaurant.
In workshop you can see a closer view of this restaurant with a wonderful beergarden in front of it.

Hi Frank,
a nice and quiet beautiful restaurant for eating and relaxing afterward. After a good meal you can go outside and enjoy a refreshing walking in this beautiful landscape. The POV chosen is good because you get those beautiful trees in the foreground that adds to the charm of the composition.
Well done and a nice sunny day,
Edi

Good moorning Frank,
What a lovely view! The roadhouse is wonderfully framed by the blossoming trees and the pleasant composition also includes the Löwenburg ruin. I like the inviting atmosphere, the gorgeous light and most beautiful fresh spring colours. Thanks for the good note and the additional link to the Löwenburger Hof page, which gives good information also about the surroundings. Certainly a nice place to visit!
Greetings,
Lasse

Hallo Frank,
Tolle Grüntöne in diesem herrlich frischen Frühlingsbild. Gefällt mir sehr gut.
Viele Grüsse aus dem sonnigen Donautal,
Helmut

Hello Frank,
The blossoming trees make a splendid frame for the beautiful old roadhouse set beneath the castle perched its misty eerie. Very pleasing soft light and tones. Greetings from a still warm and sunny Charente-Maritime.

Hallo Frank.

I don't know if I understand the right words; this Hof had just an acces by foot? Balbelfish translate it with "encours" and roadhouse as "restoroute" that what we have on road and "autobahn", that seemes to bee all other.
a calm and romantic place in teh middle from trees and flowers... I'll go here to a walk with pleasure!
the way you shoot it make us dream as if we are comming to and hidden manoir!
an old deutch song comme at me "das Wandern is des Müller's Lust".... oh Wandern du bist meine Lust ! yes really it is ☺

Hi Frank,
Very charming photo with nice framing- yes, it's springtime!
"Only accessible afoot" - it must be a lot of fun transporting the beer to the restaurant. :-)) Not to mention the walk back down after enjoying the beergarden (at least there is no "drunk driving."
Hope to see you in Ascona. We will be staying two days in Como and my tentative plan is to drive to Ascona on the morning of July 3rd. If we can meet for lunch, that would be nice.
Regards,
Randy

Hi Frank. Fairy tale picture. Very good point of view, it gives strong impression of isolation from daily hustle and bustle of "civilized" human industriality. I did not know the castle was so close to the hof, walking ther takes some time and all the interesting things you see on the way add to sense of great distance. I remember very well the big trees there and a lot of fresh air.
Great picture, weather cooperated with you in adding some mystery to it.
Greetings from London

Hallo Frank,
I like the effect of the bloomed trees in foreground and how you have placed them as a natural window to be able to see the nice architecture of the house in background, under a strong light and with a good graphical contrast.
Beautiful work.
Regards from the soft (19ºC) and a bit cloudy Barcelona.

Very nice view through the blossoming trees, both for the house on the ground level, and for the silhouette of the castle partly visible on top of the hill. Spring seems to have arrived in your place at least.
All the best,
Emmanuel
