Morning on the Ganges Photo

Photographer’s Note

Shot taken early in the morning on Ganges river in Varanasi, the "holiest" Indian city. This side looks very calm and desert but the other side is very crowded and is full of Hindus mixing up with tourists on the city's gahts (stairs leading down to the river), and that even at sunrise, it's like that city never stops living and dying.

The city never sleeps indeed or rather it wakes up pretty early! :)

This photo shows a very calm and peaceful scene on the river. The rising sun looks already very warm and the little boat is very well placed inside the frame. Really an excellent picture!
