Photographer’s Note

Hi Trekkies,
My last walk in Dublin City centre was very beneficial for me.
Trying to find an uncommon POV for common sights is a real challenge for creativity and imagination.
If you're working hard, photography could be a real remedy for everyday's stress, pushing your mind to new horizons, far outside the common problems.
Nice hobby, anyway! :)
OK, you can see here two famous Dublin tourism clichés: The Spire of Dublin and The General Post Office (known as GPO).
I took this photo on O'Connell Street.

Hello Chris,
I have not seen the spire before, it wasn't built when I spent a long weekend there about eight years ago. I do remember the post office however. Interesting juxtaposition of these two symbols. Good colours and sharpness.

Chcesz powiedziec ze ta osoba chce skoczyc, badz tez dostac sie na szczyt szpili czy to Ty jako artysta musisz uwolnic swoj umysl zeby cos takiego zlapac?
Bardzo fajny ciekawy detal, ale jak dla mnie za duzo nieba, ja wole (jak to mowi Darek) ciasno, jak jest przeladowane detalami tak ze az czlowiek nie wie na co patrzec...
Fakt do tej pory nie mam zadnego fajnego zdjecia ze spire i z GPO.

Czesc Chris,
Ciekawa kompozycja i kilkaset dobrych lat w jednym zdjeciu, jakby tak policzyc od daty budowy poczty az po wystawienie przyslowiowej "p...y". Mam podobne ujecie na PC. Kiedys sie pokusze wrzucic. Twoja fota jest naprawde ciekawie zmontowana. Jak widac czasem trzeba podniesc glowe do gory a nie tylko patrzec pod nogi.

Having explored this area myself a couple of times I appreciate the take on the needle and your juxtaposition with the architectural heritage of Post Office - very nicely done - just wondering if we might have had just a touch more of the face on the statue to emphasise the relationship to the needle - but a smallish point!

dobre, pomyslowe, wiele skojarzen sie nasuwa patrzac na to zdjecie. Mozna by na przyklad skoczyc i zjechac na dol jak po rurze:) eeech to tylko wyobraznia dziala.

Cześć Krzysiek,

To jest też mój problem zawsze, co zrobic w znanym miejscu. Tyle, ze mnie na przykład ani poczta, ani ten drąg nie są znane, więc cokolwiek byś pokazał, tez byloby dla mnie odkrywcze. Co właściwie ma ten spire oznaczać? fajnie wygląda to niebo, takie przetarte.
