Photographer’s Note

Lough Hyne is a semi-enclosed marine lake situated about 5 km west of Skibereen and some 90 km from Cork City in Southwest Ireland.
It is believed that the Lough was a freshwater lake up to 4000 years ago, when a rise in sea levels joined it with the sea.
It is now a highly sheltered, seawater basin connected to the North Atlantic Ocean via a narrow inlet called Barloge Creek.

Hi Anetka,
I've been on the banks of this lake, but it is even more beautiful from this hight point of view. You should go there on early morning, the atmosphere may be clearer.

Niestety najlepszy fotograf i sprzet nie zawsze da rady irlandzkiej pogodzie.
Oczywiscie jako niegdysiejszy Corkowianin bylem rowniez w tym miejscu- jest rzeczywiscie bardzo pieknie.
Twoje zdjecie pokazuje ciekawy aspekt miejsca ale pierwszy plan jest fajniejszy niz reszta -te drzewa sa piekne natomiast reszta troche zamglona -ale za malo mgly zeby sama mgla mogla byc ciekawa sama w sobie.
No i nadal nie wiem czy i jak (Barlge Creek?) to jezioro sie laczy z morzem czy nie a przede wszystkim czy da sie na drugi koniec dojechac lub dojsc...

Hi Anetka,
I love Lough Hyne! Did you get to see bluebells that early in April? I was there in mid-April and they were at their peak--the most beautiful bluebell woods I've seen. As for this photo: it's absolutely identical to one I took there--I also had problems with ocean haze and mid-day sun washing out the scene. I think your other photo of this spot is much better, with a more creative aspect and no light problems. So I guess this is a critique of this photo and a compliment on the other one!

Piekne miejsce, warte odwiedzenia go ponownie, moze udaloby Ci sie trafic na lepsza widocznosc - polecam wczesny ranek. Swietny kadr i ciekawa notka.
