Photographer's Note

Siwa Oasis is located 50 km from the Libyan border. On a long weekend in March, I took two 5 hour bus rides (the first from Cairo to Marse Matrouh, then a mini-bus at 4AM from Marsa Matrouh to Siwa). It is an amazing area; although there are tourists, the village seems virtually untouched by time. I took this photograph while biking around the area, visiting the oases and ruins of temples. After I took the picture, I later saw this man weaving baskets on the side of the road.

very original shot and view from rural Egypt. I Think the cart on the left side if have been included entirely on the frame would have given a more stronger rural effect also i think the color is a little dull. overall i like the ariginality of this shot. i've done a WS on this photo and make little adjustment on the color. i hope you don't mind and find it useful.
