Photographer’s Note
The Thames River in southwestern Ontario.
It flows west about 270 km through Woodstock, London and Chatham to Lake St. Clair.
The river was called Askunessippi by the Indian inhabitants of the area.
Upper part consists of North and South Branches, which join in London, Ontario.
The Thames has been designated Canadian Heritage River.
Here you can see part of the trail along the river towards centre of London. A lot of sand, gravel and a lot of debris left by spring flooding I will try to show in my next posting. Today, in the WS I will show first signs of spring in the neighbourhood.

Ha Chris!
A new "eska" after a long time ;-) - great! At first I was a bit confused because of the title - but one always should read the note first! Your photo shows a truly inviting path and - amazing for Canada - rather thick trunks! By the way- the added photo is so beautiful!
Greetings to all the family from sunny and warm (23°C!) Siegen!
Frank
