Photographer’s Note
This picture shows the other huge crane covering the Belfast skyline.
The pair of cranes are called Samson & Goliath both of which are located in the Harland and Wolff shipyard.
This is also the location where the Titanic was built.
The picture doesn't actually show how huge the crane is although it rises almost 96 meters from the ground.
The picture was taken on the parking lot of Stena Lines terminal, the ferry taking people between Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Hello Johnnie,
Good photo. clear and sharp focus, Belfasts past history, and reminder to myself,of days gone past when H & W built some very fine ships.
I worked on two big oil tankers there, 108,000 tons each and sailed in them.
A busy shipyard in these days. Sadly gone now. These huge structures remain as a reminder.
