They were joking in front of my camera : the young man would touch the breast of the woman. Her hand seems to say : hands off !

Świetne znowu. Choć te dwie postacie jakby z dwóch światów - on przyziemny bardziej, ona jakby woal odgarniała, w taniec wchodziła (piękny jest gest jej ręki)... Pewnie dlatego pasuje mi też wersja bisoka - jak przez jakąś gazę, czy co...
Super materiał. Nie mam nic przeciwko zobaczeniu tych "pozowanych" zdjęć, również najbardziej sztucznych. Ich sztuczność - podejrzewam - bije na głowę wiele naszych "naturalności" ;)

ja bym moze dal ostrosc na reke tego mlodzienca skoro jest ona istotna...

Oczywiscie, to nie jest tak, ze nie zauwazam, potrzebuje jednak czasu zeby zrozumiec i wejsc w Twoja cyganska serie.. Na poczatku wydawalo mi sie, ze taka obserwacja "z dystansu", bo ja ten dystans praktycznie w kazdym zdjeciu wyczuwam, powoduje stepienie "odczuwania" pulsu tych ludzi.. a poniewaz Ci ludzie, jak malo ktorzy, sa zywiolowi i wyrazisci, to w jakims sensie nie udaje sie w ten sposob pokazac ich samych w ich odrebnosci siegajacej ponizej zwyklego "kostiumu".. Potem jednak pomyslalam, ze nawet taka obserwacja " z kilku" metrow, tez daje wiele.. piraci na miejskich gruzach, hermetyczni, niebezpieczni ze swoja hierarchiczna struktura, skomplikowanymi mesko-damskimi relacjami i tak sie nam tu jakos odslaniaja i ze to wciaga , nawet jesli ciagle stoimy na "granicy"..

Najbardziej podobalo mi sie zdjecie gdy jeden Cygan machal czapka, zawadiacko, jakby zapraszajac, a moze chwalac sie swoim krolestwem.. Przypomnial mi fantazje Cyganow Kusturicy.. a za nim przeciez tylko gruzy..

Z tym zdjeciem powyzej, mam problem czysto formalny bo to prawd, ze sie rozpada na dwa swiaty ale dla mnie to swiat fotografii dokumentalnej (kobieta) skontrastowany z plastikowa obrobka PP (chlopiec), ktora dla mnie natychmiast kladzie wartosc techniczna i artystyczna zdjecia, niezaleznie od jego potencjalu, a tu jest bardzo duzy. Moze pierwsze prawdziwe zblizenie po kroku przestepujacym "granice".

Przykro mi, zegnac serie bo jest inna i ciekawa. Wymagajaca duzej odwagi ale tez i zwracajaca energie wlozona.. dziwny, odrebny swiat..

To pasja ktora nie ma ujscia, niesamowita...

Troszku technicznych cyckow tu i owdzie, ale nic naprawde powaznego ...
W porownaniu do przeslania tego zdjecia - to malenki pryszczyk...

Zartujesz oczywscie z tym ' One of the last' photos - but of course ? :-)))

Cette main! Le geste de cette main! C'est super, Grazyna. Et ce visage presque de pierre. Tout est dit dans le visage et la main de cette femme. Et c'est vraiment un personnage formidable qui s'est senti suffisamment sentie à l'aise pour "jouer" devant toi.
Je ne sais à quelle vitesse tu étais, j'aurais peut-être aimé que le jeune homme soit plus net, mais ce n'est vraiment qu'un tout petit détail.
Une excellente série Grazyna. Vraiment, tu m'impressionnes! ;)

Hi Grazyna,

For several years now I've had the pleasure of viewing your images and for the entire time I have considered carefully precisely what it is that you do that I find so captivating. If you'll indulge me, I feel that it comes down to your mastery of capturing the human form in it's most innocent and candid moments. Intentionally, subconsciously (or both) you reveal a concern and admiration of people and their condition that is pure and seemingly unconditional. So many images of this genre (which some needlessly try to corner as "street photography" or "portraiture") seem more focused on manipulation of the image in post-processing - as if to say that the the human form is not enough to be a compelling subject and needs enhancement. Your art is the best argument to counter that implication showing that the most simple and beautiful form is to be found in the most simple and un-manipulated of moments. In a glance, a smile or the position of the hand you convey volumes of emotion into two dimensions. You accomplish this so well (for me) that often I am almost disappointed to read a caption as I feel that I prefer the exploration and conclusions that I can draw on my own apart from any "reality" that may have existed. Your imagery takes me to the people first and foremost and only afterward to the realization that there is an artist behind a lens responsible for conveying the moment. I think and feel that it is your invisibility in the imagery that proves your mastery of the craft. I sincerely hope that my compliments to you come across as genuinely as your imagery comes across to me.

La force de la photo est indéniablement l'attitude de cette femme oui. Une femme qui ne doit pas se laisser marcher sur les pieds c'est sûr ! : ) J'aime aussi cette "fierté" qui ressort de cette attitude. J'aime bien.
