Photographer’s Note
Typical lodges in Dorze region. Dorze is tribe living high in the mountains above malarial area in the south Ethiopia, near Arba Minch. The front part of every lodge represents trunk of elephant. These animals lived in this area about 50 years ago and were very popular.

Thanks for this wonderful picture of these traditional buildings in what I imagine is a remote area. Wonderful light, earthy colours, and good composition to really show us what they look like. Terrific sharp details. I appreciate your note about the elephant trunk! Great shot.
