Photographer’s Note

Porto- the city is located in the estuary of the Douro river in northern Portugal.

For me – the city of meandering, paved streets. The city of beautiful azulejos, countless amount of the churches, friendly and helpful people.

Porto is called “Cidade des Pontes” too. That means “The City of Bridges” – there are 8 bridges. Other names of Porto: “Cidade Invicta” (Invincible City) and “Capital do Norte” (The Capital of the North).

I have taken this picture standing on the bridge Ponte D. Luis. On the picture you can see the historic centre of the Porto - “Ribeira”, which is on the list of the World Heritage UNESCO.

Piekny widok na piekne miasto. Jest na TE kilku milosnikow tego miasta. Zapewne i ty do nich dalaczysz.

The point of view works well, presenting the shoreline in a fine diagonal!
The city is captured with sharp fine details, and the good light renders attractive colours...
