Very nice capture; good pov and nice layout.
Those fallen trees are also very typical on the Mediterreanean coast.
I'll post you as WS one of my "fallen trees" from one of those tiny mediterranean bays.

I like very much the picturesque way that the fallen tree fills the whole frame, while allowing the view of the lake and making a wonderful frame to the little sailboat. I think you give me an idea for my next post, as I have a series of a fallen tree near a river.

Interesting composition with this old tree, sailing boats and the sea. Ie like here the colors - grey and blue. Romantic view. No signs of spring yet.

Hi Wilson,
A very nice and original subject. The picture is also very well-composed and your timing was very good with the sailing boat. Personally, I am not too fond of strong spring lighting. There is a great risk of chromatic aberration when shooting bare trees and of over-exposure. I would have loved to see this scene in back-light with the bare tree more or less in silhouette and the light coming through the sails of the sailing boats. TFS and have nice weekend!

belle photo de ce lac superbe a l' eau si bleu.
Ces voiliers ancrés au loin forment presque un v comme mes canards en vol.
Cet arbres déraciné en avant plan donne tout son effet a votre prise.

A well chosen pov for this one, with the tree naturally framed in between the sail boats which balance well the image. Good contrast and colors too.

The dark grey colour tones of the dead tree care for a nice picture.

Hello Wilson,

In spite of the tree filling most of the frame, the sailboat is the eye-catcher!
But still the tree is the main motif, and judged by the main trunk we are talking about hundred of years...
A well framed spring mood, but pity for the tree!

une souche d'arbre morte un peu encombrante, mais heureusement, elle n'est pas laide et sa tortuosité est un peu esthétique. Une photo où dominent les bleus et où ce petit voilier fait tout son effet

Hi Wilson,

The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The branches of the trees in the foreground have a graphical effect. The point of view takes our eyes toward the mountain in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The nice blue sky is sending a light which is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Original composition after an irresistible inspiration in front of this rare subject. I think I should do the same. It is interesting to see the shots the moment before end the moment after this one, that you keep in your pockets. Must be a nice walk in Cumbria.

Hi, Wilson. There are good details on the tree and its branches make nice lines occupying the space of the image. It's also interesting to see the white of the boats on the right and left. They contrast well with the blue of the water.
