Photographer’s Note
I shot this in an obscure but fascinating corner of New York City, one which even most New Yorkers have neither seen nor heard of. It's called New Farm Colony, and it's in the Borough of Staten Island. It's a giant former hospital complex, 90 acres in size, that has been completely abandoned for many years and left to the forest. Truly a spectacular little spot, surely the last of its kind in the five boroughs.
