Photographer’s Note
No, this one was not made at TE meeting.
In opposite to previous Venice trip this time my dearest and I were rushing to meet other members. We crossed this bridge 6 times in 5 minutes cause in an instant we completely lost our orientation. Finally we figured it out that we were already on the right side of the bridge so there was actually no need to cross it...at all.
What I like about Venice is that there is always sth to see, capture, admire. There is no need for sun or perfect light and altough everything might seem gloomy colours can always be found. As long as we want to see them...

Good to see you again Jeri ! I hope you are doing fine and your cats and beloved one too. You are like the spring :-), on its way...
I wished I could have come, some other time...
And here we go for an unusual presentation of this town, your very own touch and originality. It makes me smile, those sunny colors in the foreground, and the passage to darker tones, very elegant ones, and all that we can devine, the life, the monuments. A very good eye you have, I love that mix here, excellent work!
Warm regards and welcome back!

Hi Jeri,
perfectly colourful spiderclownhat, or whatever it may be. This has all the colour it needs, and the market in the background even enhances it. Like sunrays. A bit of crazyness in - well, in a crazy city!

Johannes

Hello Jeri,
this is a great way to do photography, a particular, colored hat on the FG, and all the rest unfocused.
Great effect and excellent composition.
Well done my dear friend.
Have a great week.

hi Jeri,
my first thought was - "La Piovra" is back! :) love the shot, so completely crazy and bizarre, so out of the ordinary, so refreshing. really made me laugh, especially trying to imagine how such a "hat" fits in the narrow streets and shops of Venice, the man must be a walking disaster :))
regards,
Kristine
p.s. there's 75% chance I'll be in Europe in early August. shall we meet for coffee somewhere? :)

Hi Jeri-neighbor,
a strong pic! Flashing out amongst the others. The contrast of coloured and sunlit subject and the grey back in the shadow is great. Seing the thumbnail, I first thought it´s a kind of macro of a brazilian spider:)
Compliments, Christian

Good morning Jeri
I like the bg of your capture running around trying to find your way :) The vertical frame with all those octupus colors at the bottom and the brlurred upper bg match to create an excellent image. What is really attractive all those color spots in the bg that match the fg coloration.
Have a lovely day and TFS

Wow, this is great! The way how you cropped this photo makes it amazing, this POV and so blurred background makes this crazy hat alive!:) Incredible and so crazy idea, wish you more like this one:)
TFS and greetings,

An excellent composition, with this vivid hat at the foreground while the bokeh is quite dark.
Very well done!

Ciao Jorgi!
hey, I like how you are building this gallery about Venice. Of course, I won't mind seeing your way of seeing the obvious landmarks. But meanwhile, this is very refreshing. The splashing colors and the shape of this merry hat. it seems like the light was very low when we look at the bg.
Good way to cope with the weather, go with the detail shots!
have a good one!

Hi Jeri,
Nice to have you back! (saw some of your comments to other photos, so figured you posted something new). The juxtaposition and contrast between the colorful crazy hat and fuzzy row of outdoor stalls mix perfectly. Your artistic eye at work again.
cheers,
Cristian

I'm impressed that you've seen this, you were able to pick up interesting object(this hat) that add more depth to the impression of the city, you were able to communicate that well to the viewer Jeri..Your slightly elevated position works! Very well done.

Hi Jeri,
Thank you for the so kind words you write on my gallery while I had gone on holiday. I was very happy to find them when I came back.
I like very much this two-colored octopus ready to attack shopkeepers' s roofs of the Rialto.
The contrast of these colors and the black and the white is fantastic.
A beautiful surprising sight and nevertheless very Venetian.
I shall maybe go to spend another day in Venice this summer at the beginning of August. I shall prevent you and if you did not go on holiday we can plan something.
Amicalement

Draga Jerice,
A ja to baš volim.
Sve pohvale i prijateljski pozdravi za Tebe i tvoje.

Jeri, this is a classic!
i would put this across to people who want to learn the beauty of using wide aperture, a perfect demonstration of how one can use light, bokeh and tones for filling up a frame. an almost perfect shot!

Hello Jeri,
This one seems like a fat, colorful, giant spider trying to eat the brains out of the man. Great idea to go for the partial desaturation. Adorable composition.

Dag Jeri,
What a superb use of DOF. The sharp red and yellow multi-armed head in front of the dark blurt background of what seems to be a market.
Excellent result, worth to lost your way.
