April Shower Photo

Photographer’s Note

I've been trying to catch this petal shower scene for the past week. I've been under sakura trees several times when the breeze would blow by, but the pictures I took then didn't really capture the feeling I was trying to convey. The only thing I lacked was the dark background which I finally found as I strolled around Maebashi Koen. To experience this "shower" has got to be one of the best things during Hanami (cherry blossom viewing).

A superb effect, that resembles falling snow. Lots of cherry blossum here in Korea too. The dark bg accentuates the graphism of the lighter petals. Tfs!

Excellent art image, reminding me of the work of Akira Kurosawa. Using a high shutter speed captures the dreamy petals.
