Photographer’s Note
The Mecca Masjid in Charminar Hyderabad taken from the top of Charminar.
Mecca Masjid (Telugu: మక్కా మసీదు, Urdu: مکہ مسجد) is one of the oldest mosques and the biggest mosque located in Hyderabad, India. The mosque is believed to contain sacred relics, one of which is a hair of the Prophet Muhammad. Part of the mosque has bricks brought from holy city of Mecca which are part of the central arch. The mosque is adorned with Belgian crystal chandeliers.
It is located close to the historic landmarks such as Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and Laad Bazaar.
Mecca Masjid was built during the reign of Sultan Muhammad Qutb Shah, the 6th Sultan of Hyderabad. The work began in 1617 under the supervision of Mir Faizullah Baig and Rangaiah Chowdary. The work continued during the reign of Abdullah Qutub Shah and Tana Shah and was finally completed in 1694 by the Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb.
It took about 8000 masons and 77 years to be completed.

Hi Shreya,
Very gorgeous look of Mecca Masjid. Very well placed in frame but white sky is somehow disturbing...

Hello Sreya !
Good shot and I appreciate your concern for this particular theme.
I am still thinking on two things. One, the sky which looks.....(rather, I cant see that at all) but that is no problem. Overcast or over-exposed..may be.
Second, the structures at the bottom of the frames, if those were avoided somehow. But its already taken from the top of the minar and it must have restricted the other options to eliminate those unwanted buildings.
