Photographer’s Note
He looks like a clown, but actually he is a kind of missionary.
I have talked to his father once, who was Canadian and we talked in another district in Nagoya, told me he had left Canada 20 years ago and never had gone back. The son spoke Japanese but not that fluent, and his English was not fluent either(if it wasn't that he pretended so), and there were three of them(two sons and a father) trying to talk about Christianity to people. I asked the father if they were missionaries and he said no.
I see them often on the streets and I wonder what they really intend to do with all of this outfits and entertaining people like this.
This was taken in Tsurumai park, when the place was crowded with people who came to see cherry blossoms.
