Photographer’s Note
Leaving the coastline of BC traveling into the interior through Merrit BC. The open skies reminds me of the wide open skies of Saskatchewan. That is where I am headed today. On the road traveling east only to come back in a few more days. Traveling through this province and into the prairies always reminds me of the beautiful land which is a constant feast for the eyes to those who take time to enjoy it. The prairies make me feel very small. I love these wide open spaces.

Hi Paul
We were there last summer and I would have thought that the prairies would be greener than that in Spring.
Your picture is nevertheless beautiful with this fence and this awesome sky.
Bravo

Hi Paul, A very baron landscape with an awesome sky over head, the wire fence cutting across the picture is needed to add some extra interest, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Paul, what a shot, someplace I would love to be for sure. The fence and rolling hill satisfy the photo requirements and the color levels and details are just superb. Mostly it is an intuitively great shot. Fine work.

Hi Paul
A nicely composed shot with the fence on the diagonal and the clouds floating over the landscape. The blue tones compliment the browns/golds of the land.

Paul,
What a sensational cloud formation, the type of 'big sky' you get to see in the North American West. The composition is superb, with the fence creating a natural diagonal, the tall grass shows excellent resolution — indeed as does the rest of the image. You must have been using a pinpoint for an aperture.
Warm regards,

Bonjour Paul,
un ciel qui avec ces couleurs fortes et ses nuages, joue la vedette ici face à ces herbages ternes. déjà des allures d'été en plien printemps.
Excellent cadrage et bonne profondeur.
Kind regards.
Daniel.

Hi Paul,
A fairly familiar place to me as we drive through here every summer on our way to Mara Lake. I love the foreground with the dry grass and the fence leading to the rolling hills and the beautiful sky above. Wonderful POV with great light and quality! Great work!

A simople yet effective shot Paul. The one thing that catches my eye is the darkness of the upper part of the sky. Were you using an ND Grad filter for this or a circular polariser?
The placement of the horizon off centre works well and the inclusion of the fence leads the eye into the frame.
I think I might be tempted to boost the mids and highlights to make for a bit brighter and more contrasty shot. I'll attempt a workshop when I get home mate.

Hi Paul,
the beauty of this sky is remarkable. It is not only the brightness of the colors but also the dimensions and your dynamic capture that brings out the majesty of the clouds. I also like the wonderful light above this really arid landscape. My compliments!
Warm regards
