La Porta dell'Arco (or all'Arco) of Volterra, which dates back to around the III-II century BC, is part of the city walls, originally built by the Etruscans and then changed later in the Middle Ages when the city erse a free town.
The Gate was affected, compared to similar buildings in other cities, in a minor rearrangements of the Romans after the submission of the city in Rome and in fact it is still today the great stateliness typical of Etruscan city gates.

Hey Carlotta! In your intro you say that you don't know yet the tricks of the trade and you could use some advices from this forum... so here is my advice for you:
In such pictures it is good to include a person in the frame to show the size of this door. Also you could brighten up the picture and add sharpness. You should increase the ISO for this picture (100 ISO is for noon, not for a sunset picture...).
