Photographer’s Note
Taken from the footbridge over Royal Victoria Dock (where I live) just as the sun crept behind a bank of cloud throwing all of the buildings and cranes, etc into silhouette. I will be posting a similar shot soon that doesn't have the resting boat as foreground interest and I think makes for a much more arresting image.

Hi Phil,
This is a nice shot, I especially like how you've used the clouds to shield some of the brightness of the sun and to generate the sun-rays eminating from the top of the clouds. I've submitted a workshop where I've just run the shot though NeatImage and then used Gimp to work a little on the levels, curves and sharpness. Hope you don't mind!
Cheers
Simon
