Photographer’s Note
Literally translated as the Hill Fort or the Fairy Fort, it's one of the most extensive ruins of a medieval castle in Northern Ireland. It is located on the edge of a basalt outcropping in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and is accessible via a bridge connecting it to the mainland. It is between Portballintrae and Portrush. The castle is dramatically surrounded by terrifyingly steep drops either side, which would have been a very important factor to the early Christians and Vikings who were not drawn to this place where an early Irish fort once stood. Hello Miguel!
Great HDR. I love the fact that there are only shades of green and orange in your photo(judging by the fact that greys are not colours). Really nice landscaoe with impressive dynamics from the clouds and see. Great work!
All the best

Hello Miguel,
An impressive view of the ruins in a wild environment, enhanced by a grey scul^pted sky. Well composed.

Very interesting. Lovely composition. Then you have done creative post-processing which at first I thought too vivid, and then I thought - why not - this is really vibrant and what painters do. Good work.

Hi Miguel,
Like the shot, nice result on a bleak looking day, it's one hell of a walk back up that slope!
Am heading up to the north coast at 4 am tonight, want to catch the sunrise at Downhill, hoping the weather is not gonna be as bad as the forecast.
Regards,
Trev.

This is a wonderful picture that draws the viewer in. I think I would have liked more it without the excessive sharpening (if that is what causes it) that makes the castle and outcropping look like they have been cut from another photo and the dramatic sky added. In short the line between the sky and the rest of the picture seems a bit too sharp. Still its a great shot that makes me want to get on a plane and find this place tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Kate
